Der Song ist von Unruhe und Verzweiflung geprägt. Wie der Titel vermuten lässt, werden beunruhigende Gefühle betont und ein heftiger Kampf mit dem inneren Selbst manifestiert sich daher auch in der Musik. Das Bass-Intro kündigt bereits Unheilvolles an und bringt die grundsätzliche Ausrichtung des Song sehr schnell auf den Punkt. Der punkig angehauchte Strophenteil entlädt sich in dem getragenen Refrain, der wiederum von vollständiger Raserei und den verzweifelten Schreien vom Krieg im eigenen Kopf abgelöst wird. Das im Kontrast betont ruhige Ende kann einerseits als Resignation am Ende des Kampfes oder aber als hoffnungsvolles Licht am Ende des finsteren Tunnels angesehen werden.
